The basics
What is Agent Text?
Agent Text is a real estate text-for-info service. Buyers text a 4-digit code (like 1234) on a yard sign rider to a local number. Within seconds they get the listing details on their phone, and you get their phone number as a lead by text and email.
Does it work on all phones?
Yes. Agent Text works on any mobile phone that supports SMS. Buyers do not need to install an app, scan anything, or sign up for an account.
How fast does the buyer get a reply?
Seconds. The auto-reply with your listing details arrives before the buyer has pulled away from the curb.
Will buyers think this is spam?
No. The buyer initiates the conversation by texting your code, so your reply lands in a familiar text thread — the highest-trust channel on their phone.
Has Agent Text been around for a while?
Yes. We have been running text-for-info codes for real estate agents and brokerages since 2009.
Pricing & trial
What does it cost?
Plans start at $9/month for one reusable code. Multi-code agent plans run $21, $30, and $50 per month. Volume team plans go down to about $2 per code per month at the 100-code tier. Every plan includes a 30-day free trial.
Is a credit card required for the free trial?
Yes. We collect a card to start the 30-day trial, but we do not charge you during the trial. Cancel anytime before day 30 with one click in your dashboard and you will not be billed.
Are there any contracts or cancellation fees?
No. There are no contracts and no cancellation fees. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime directly from your dashboard. No phone calls, no hoops.
What happens after my free trial ends?
Your plan starts billing monthly at the price you selected at signup. We will never charge you during the trial.
Do you offer team or brokerage plans?
Yes. Volume tiers start at 20 codes for $80/month and scale up to 100 codes for $200/month (about $2 per code). Larger brokerages running 200+ active listings can open the chat in the bottom-right of any page for a custom quote.
Codes & numbers
Can I reuse my codes?
Yes. Codes are yours to keep for as long as your account is active. When a listing closes, update the property info in your dashboard, move the sign rider to the next listing, and the same code keeps working.
Can I pick a custom code?
No. Codes are short, easy-to-text 4-digit numbers like 1234 to keep them memorable from the curb. We assign them automatically when you create a code.
Does my code come with a local phone number?
Yes. Every code is paired with a phone number whose area code matches your market, so buyers see a local number on the sign rider rather than a toll-free or out-of-state line.
Does the sign rider include a QR code?
Yes. Every code comes with both a text-to number and a QR code. Buyers can either text the code from the curb or scan with their phone camera — the QR code opens an SMS composer pre-filled with the same code, so it works the same either way.
Sign riders
How much do sign riders cost and how are they shipped?
Sign riders are optional. One rider is $44 with shipping included, and bundles bring the per-rider price down (for example, three for $88). Riders are printed on durable Rigibond (aluminum-bonded plastic) and ship from our United States printing partner.
Can I use my own sign riders?
Yes. You are never required to buy sign riders from us. If you have a local sign shop you already use, we can send you the artwork for your code and you can have them printed anywhere.
Do the riders fit standard yard sign frames?
Yes. Our riders are sized to clip onto the bottom of standard real estate yard sign posts and frames sold by most sign companies.
Leads & CRM
How do I get leads when someone texts my code?
The moment a prospect texts your code, Agent Text sends you their phone number by text message and/or email — you choose which in settings. Leads also appear in your Agent Text dashboard and can be pushed automatically to your CRM via a direct integration, a Zapier template, or your CRM's email-in address.
Does Agent Text work with my CRM?
Yes. Connect Follow Up Boss, Pipedrive, or Lofty in one click and every new lead is pushed to your CRM automatically. Use a one-click Zapier template for Wise Agent, or wire up any of 8,000+ other apps via Zapier — including BoomTown, Top Producer, kvCORE, Google Sheets, and Slack. For any CRM not on that list, lead emails are formatted to import cleanly via your CRM's email-in address. CSV export is also available from your dashboard at any time.
Can I see which listing a lead came from?
Yes. Every lead is tagged with the code that was texted, so you know exactly which listing the buyer was standing in front of.
Teams & brokerages
How do team and brokerage plans work?
An office manager creates the account, invites agents by email, and assigns codes to specific agents. Each lead lands directly in the listing agent's inbox, and the office manager sees the whole team's lead activity from one rollup dashboard.
Can we add or remove agents anytime?
Yes. Team plans are priced per code, not per agent — add and remove agents as your roster shifts at no extra cost. Reassign their codes to other agents when they leave.
Property managers & landlords
Does Agent Text work for rentals and property management?
Yes. Property managers and landlords use Agent Text on for-rent signs to capture renter leads after hours, on weekends, and during showings. The text response can include unit details plus a direct link to your tenant application form.
Can the auto-reply link to my tenant application?
Yes. Drop the link to your application in the response body and renters can apply straight from the sidewalk. Works with TurboTenant, AppFolio, Buildium, RentRedi, Avail, and any other tenant screening tool that gives you a unique application URL.
